JobSummary
TheElectricalFieldServiceEngineerwillberesponsibleforinstalling,servicing,andmaintaininglasersystemsatcustomersitesacrosstheregion.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhaveexcellenttechnicalknowledge,problem-solvingskills,andaproactiveattitudetocustomersupport.
KeyResponsibilities
Installation&Commissioning:
Carryoutelectricalinstallationsandcommissioningoflasersystemsatcustomersites.
Ensurecompliancewithelectricalstandardsandallrelevanthealth&safetyprocedures.
Maintenance&Repairs:
Conductplannedpreventativemaintenance(PPM)onsystemsandequipment.
Diagnoseandrepairelectricalfaults,includingcontrolpanels,PLCs,anddrives.
Replaceorrepairfaultywiring,components,andassemblies.
CustomerSupport&Training:
Delivertechnicaltrainingandsupporttocustomersonsystemoperation.
Providecleartechnicaladviceandensurecustomersatisfaction.
Resolveserviceissuespromptlyandprofessionally.
Documentation&Reporting:
Completeaccurateservicereportsdetailingworkcarriedoutandanyfollow-uprequired.
Maintainservicelogsanddocumentationforeachcustomervisit.
Travel&Flexibility:
Travelacrosstheregion(withoccasionalUKorinternationaltrips).
Provideon-callorout-of-hourssupportwhenrequired.
Qualifications&Skills
Essential:
RecognisedqualificationinElectricalorElectronicEngineering(NVQ,City&Guilds,HND,orequivalent).
Provenexperienceinelectricalfaultdiagnosisandrepair.
StrongunderstandingofAC/DCcircuits,motors,drives,PLCs,andcontrolsystems.
Competentwithelectricaltestingequipment(multimeters,oscilloscopes,insulationtesters).
ValidUKdrivinglicenceandwillingnesstotraveltocustomersites.
Excellentcommunicationandcustomerserviceskills.
Desirable:
Previousexperiencewithlasersystems,CNC,orindustrialmachinery.
Knowledgeofcontrolsystems(Siemens,AllenBradley,etc.).
Familiaritywith18thEditionWiringRegulations(BS7671).
Backgroundinafieldserviceorcustomer-facingtechnicalrole.
