Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and committed individuals to join Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant in Dermatology. This new post will be based at King's Mill Hospital with sessions at Newark Hospital.
The successful candidates will lead the implementation and development of teledermatology services. This role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the clinical development of the Dermatology service across Nottinghamshire, including training and integrating community services with secondary care.
This is a full-time position, but candidates wishing to work part-time or in a job-share are encouraged to apply. If appointed on a part-time or job-share basis, modifications to the job content will be discussed individually. Candidates will be required to devote substantially the whole of their time to the duties of the post, with priority given to these duties.
Main Duties of the Job
Clinical Duties
1. Assist in providing and developing a safe, effective, and efficient Dermatology service, supporting the Trust and its network to deliver optimal patient care.
2. Perform all duties to the highest standards and in line with current quality initiatives.
3. Cover for colleagues' annual leave and other authorized absences.
4. Perform any other duties as required.
5. Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities at local, regional, or national levels.
6. Adhere to the Trust's Equal Opportunities Policy at all times.
7. Comply with Health and Safety policies to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
8. Employ infection control principles and adhere to the Infection Control Manual.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
* Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
* MRCP or equivalent qualification
* Entry on the Specialist Register via CESR pathway or CCT within 6 months of interview
Desirable Qualifications
* Higher degree: MD or PhD
Experience (Essential)
* Experience relevant to the job plan
* Understanding of all aspects of Stroke Medicine
Desirable Experience
* Five years supervised training in an appropriate SpR equivalent program
* Stroke Fellowship
Teaching
* Demonstrable teaching ability with evidence of training for the role
Research
* Publications in peer-reviewed journals
