Kenton Black are recruiting for Facilities Manager in Aberdeen. The role sits with an established organisation within the education sector.
This position offers 35 hours per week at a competitive hourly rate, with a view to permanent employment. The role will be primarily based at the Aberdeen City Campus, with travel to other sites across the Aberdeenshire region.
The successful candidate will take the lead on reactive maintenance projects whilst overseeing additional facilities management services including cleaning schedules and grounds maintenance. This is a unique opportunity to deliver meaningful infrastructure improvements while driving quality, value for money and service excellence across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor service providers to ensure quality and compliance with SLA
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan and coordinate maintenance and refurbishment works
- Undertake site inspections across all campuses to assess cleanliness and grounds upkeep
- Approve repair and maintenance actions and ensure timely resolutions
- Check invoices, authorisations and documentation in relation to facilities contracts
- Lead a small team, managing recruitment, performance, and staff development
What You Bring:
- HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
- Strong knowledge of facilities and contract management, cleaning and janitorial operations
- Experience in staff supervision and working within team environments
- Understanding of health and safety legislation
- ICT literate with sound numeracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Full clean driving licence (own vehicle desirable)
