C&I Commissioning EngineerLocation: Fife/ MethilContract Role The Asset Management function within Altrad Babcock is a highly specialised engineering services and equipment provider, supporting customers to minimise cost, maximise return and mitigate risk through their asset integrity lifecycle. We are recruiting exceptional candidates to join our mission in becoming a fully certified Asset Management engineering services provider of both consultancy and integrated projects, across future global low carbon energy and infrastructure markets.The Plant Performance and Operations team within our Asset Management business area provides support services to the Nuclear & Defence, Process & Energy, Power Generation and Oil & Gas sectors across their whole asset lifecycle. Within this team we have an opening for a C&I Commissioning Engineer to be part of the site commissioning team on a hydrogen generation project at Methil in Fife. The role is for an approximate six-month period.The role reports directly into the Site Commissioning Manager and delegated Lead C&I Engineer. The C&I Commissioning Engineer, working as part of a multi-disciplined team, would be responsible for the following C&I activities as part of the commissioning execution:Prepare internal and review vendor C&I commissioning and test procedures.To read & interpret applicable technical information, including drawings, schematics, P&IDs, procedures, manuals, codes, and specifications.Support as required Site Acceptance Tests.Conducts detailed equipment, subsystem, Mechanical Completion walk-downs.Carry out commissioning and testing activities in line with written commissioning procedures.Commissioning activities undertaken in accordance with the commissioning programme.Ensure all commissioning dossiers are maintained with up-to-date check sheets and commissioning records. Identifying, recording, and rectifying of faults.Management and witnessing of vendor activities.The candidate who should ideally have a HNC in Control and Instrumentation Engineering or have significant and relevant time served control and instrumentation commissioning experience with a background in the energy, process or hydrocarbon industry. The position requires experience and an in-depth knowledge of instrumentation installation checks, calibration, loop checking, controls tuning, and ideallyt multiple HMI formats and communication protocols.CompEx (Ex01-Ex04) certification would be an advantage. Experience in the C&I commissioning of the following equipment is desirable: Pressure, temperature, level and flow transmittersGas & heat detection systemsAnalysers and metering systemsVendor packages such as air compressors and emergency diesel generatorsHVACCCTV and PIDSLocal control panelsPLC systems (SCADA, ICSS, SIS, ESD)PAGAProof testing / functional safety
