We are looking to appoint a dynamic and knowledgeable Teacher as Assistant to the school SENDCo who will champion inclusive education and ensure all pupils with SEND receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a full-time role with a September 2026 start (may be earlier if the candidate is available sooner).
The successful candidate will:
1. Support in the strategic development of SEND provision across key stages. With an emphasis on Key Stage 1 and 2.
2. Support in the maintenance of the SEND register, EHCP paperwork and other statutory documentation
3. Work closely with pupils, parents, staff, and external agencies to ensure high-quality support.
4. Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation.
5. Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and the daily working hours are 8.20am-4.20pm.
Qualifications & Requirements:
6. Hold a relevant UK teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) - essential
7. NASENCo /NPQSENCO qualification (desirable)
8. Right to work in the UK.
