Overview
City Central LMHT has a range of mental health professionals and supports people who experience a variety of mental health difficulties. The post is based with the LMHT team. For Band 7 postholders there will be support and supervision from a more experienced psychologist, with responsibilities adjusted accordingly.

Responsibilities
* Enhance the psychological mindedness of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and Adult Mental Health Service and improve the psychological competence and confidence of non-psychologists within the MDT to deliver psychological interventions.
* Work within an MDT setting and apply and develop skills across a broad and varied range of activities.
* Support the well-being of Psychologists, promote thriving and work-life balance, and encourage development of interests beyond direct clinical work while applying psychology to the population’s mental health difficulties.
* Engage in supervision, training, and non-direct work with staff within the LMHT, contributing to initiatives that enhance psychological thinking across the wider directorate.
* Take a leadership role in quality improvement programmes where Psychologists are stakeholders and contribute to developing testable hypotheses from wide sources of information.
* Collaborate with the Greater Nottingham LMHTs as part of a friendly group of psychologists, with opportunities to develop professionally and to promote access to psychological therapies in community settings.
Qualifications and Additional Information
* As part of the role, the postholder will be a psychologist, typically at Band 7, with opportunities for supervision and professional development.
* DBS check is required; costs are deducted from salary: standard £26.40 or enhanced £54.40 (over the first 2 months). The DBS Update Service is encouraged, with an annual fee of £16.
