The opportunity
As Onshore Wind Health & Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting and managing the implementation of EDF Renewables UK & Ireland's Zero Harm ambitions across the onshore wind portfolio, from development to operations and maintenance.
Your role will focus on applying the hierarchy of risk control measures to our assets: during development with 'safe by design' principles, during high-risk activities like construction, operations, and maintenance, and learning from events.
Working within a matrix organization, collaboration with H&S colleagues across the portfolio, including other business units and the Corporate HSE Team, will be essential.

What you'll be doing
You will be part of a team of H&S Specialists, providing support, input, and advice throughout the product lifecycle, focusing on supporting business H&S needs. Some travel to onshore wind assets across the UK and Ireland will be required, with a home-based setup and flexible working arrangements.
Responsibilities include;
* Leading by example with high HSE standards and safety leadership.
* Fostering an environment where safety is a priority and individuals own their actions.
* Implementing EDF Renewables UK & Ireland H&S policies.
* Supporting the development of H&S management systems and procedures.
* Representing EDF Renewables at H&S forums and events.
* Ensuring compliance with UK & Ireland safety regulations and industry best practices.
* Setting high H&S standards and promoting continuous improvement.
* Creating and deploying H&S procedures for onshore wind.
* Participating in risk management processes.
What do you need to be great at this role?
* Experience managing H&S in project development and multi-site operations.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
* Engineering, construction, or wind farm experience preferred.
* High voltage equipment and switching experience desirable.
* Chartered IOSH member or working towards CMIOSH.
* GWO training/certificates are a plus.
* Ability to work at heights is desirable.

Location
Home-based with travel to sites and offices, mainly in central England (between Wales and Peterborough). Occasional visits to other UK locations may be required.
