Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturing business, part of a global business that is vastly expanding its products base and further streamlining its production output to be more efficient & reliable. They are looking for an experienced Production Manager from a busy, fast paced FMCG industry to join the senior leadership team.
Role & Responsibilities:
4. Managing the whole of a busy production operation
5. Leading a team of Production Team Leaders across 4 different shifts and 110 production staff
6. Planning and organising of production, including resource allocation, plant cleaning & hygiene scheduling, coordinating with warehousing & logistics activities
7. Manage the production efficiency, outputs and site product quality
8. Coordination with the maintenance team to understand production line availability & breakdown issues
9. Monitor and reporting production performance, setting targets & KPi’s
10. Health, safety & quality management
11. Managing of raw materials and stock control
12. Coaching, training & mentoring team leaders in their individual development plans
13. Maintain operating procedures, working methods, training manuals
14. Lead continuous improvement activities, suggest lean manufacturing techniques and new processes
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
15. Must be an experienced Production Manager who has worked in a busy, fast paced FMCG industry
16. Will not consider candidates that haven’t worked in FMCG / Food production
17. Ideally educated to degree level
18. This role would suit someone that has been a head of production, site production management level
19. Excellent communication, presentation & senior leadership skills
20. Previously have reported to board level
21. Technical knowledge of engineering
22. Experience of working in a TQM / continuous improvement organisation
23. Health & Safety qualifications would be advantageous
24. Must be an analytical & keen problem solver
25. Project management experience
26. SAP knowledge would be beneficial
27. Coaching & team development plans experience
28. Able to influence proactive change
