The Role
Information Technology Services (ITS) is at the heart of delivering digital services to over 17,500 students and 2,000 staff. Our vision is for IT to be an integral valued business partner to the University, continually improving the level of service provided to our student and staff community.
You will be a key member of the Enterprise Applications team that delivers and supports a portfolio of business-critical applications. Key working relationships will include working with colleagues across ITS, engagement with stakeholders and application subject matter experts and working with application vendors and support teams to ensure optimal service delivery. You will continually endeavour to leverage these relationships to ensure the provision of high-quality services for the University’s students and staff.
The Person
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant experience, with a working knowledge of ITSM governance mechanisms including ITIL v 4.0. You will also have knowledge of 3-tier application architecture and the fundamentals of SSO technologies and database technologies that underpin them.
‘Soft skills’ are also fundamental to the role such as effective communication skills and an emphasis on customer service. You must be self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and be interested in the applications level of ITS.

Our key functions are to innovate, implement and support an extensive range of digital services across the University to assist our community access and process information to achieve their goals.
