Group Senior Risk Executive - Operational Resilience
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Group Senior Risk Executive - Operational Resilience, to join a team responsible for oversight across the Admiral Group. You will be part of a small team working to support the enterprise risk management strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to help build and develop mechanisms that ensure the Group continues to effectively manage exposure to disruption impacting its various businesses.
The Group ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) Team is an established part of Admiral’s Group Risk Management Function. It provides guidance and support to risk owners, along with independent oversight and assurance of the most significant non-financial risks faced by the Group and its businesses. The team aims to support the Group’s strategy sustainably, working collaboratively to support all stakeholders’ futures. It works closely with other Group Risk Management teams and entity line 2 teams to ensure a comprehensive approach.
Reporting to the Group Resilience Risk Lead, you will provide assurance on crisis and resilience mechanisms, strategy, transformation programmes to meet regulatory requirements, operational readiness initiatives, and scenario modelling.
Main Duties
* Support the Resilience Risk Lead in operational resilience for the Group.
* Facilitate business resilience workstreams, ensuring consistency and comprehensive reporting.
* Support incident and crisis management workstreams, embedding response strategies and ensuring robust mechanisms for response and recovery.
* Assure design and testing of crisis and incident frameworks at business and Group levels.
* Assist businesses in understanding operational resilience best practices, including incident management lifecycle.
* Monitor emerging resilience requirements and analyze potential impacts.
* Support periodic thematic risk reviews.
* Prepare documentation and responses for stakeholder information requests.
* Provide updates on ongoing initiatives to the ERM team.
* Stay informed of leading practices in risk management.
* Maintain stakeholder relationships across the Group.
* Deliver education and awareness sessions on risk management to relevant teams.
* Represent risk in committees and working groups.
* Assist with ad hoc projects supporting the Group’s strategy.
* Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry and regulatory standards.

Key Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
* Expertise in operational resilience, regulatory considerations, and risk management frameworks.
* Experience in a second line non-financial risk environment.
* Understanding of regulatory, legislative, macroeconomic, and sustainability issues affecting the Group.
* Strong communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences and building stakeholder trust.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
* Proactive, collaborative, and integrity-driven approach.
* Problem-solving skills for informed decision-making.
* Developing people management skills, including oversight and mentoring. Professional risk management qualifications are a plus but not essential.
