We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to support ongoing projects within the water and wastewater sector across Devon and Somerset. This is a long‑term contract opportunity offering up to £350 per day (LTD), with a company van and fuel card provided.
This role is primarily supervisory (non‑working) but will include hands‑on support where required. You will play a key role in mentoring and training electricians, supporting design development, and overseeing installation works to ensure safe and compliant delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise electrical installation works on water and wastewater sites
* Provide technical guidance and on‑site leadership to electricians and apprentices
* Deliver on‑job training and mentoring to electrical teams
* Assist with electrical design reviews and provide practical installation input
* Support project managers in planning and coordinating site activities
* Ensure all works are carried out in line with industry regulations and site standards
* Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance
* Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and quality checks
* Step in to undertake installation work where required
Requirements
* Proven experience supervising electrical works within the water sector (water/wastewater treatment works experience highly desirable)
* Strong knowledge of industrial electrical installations
* Experience mentoring or training electricians
* Ability to interpret and contribute to electrical design drawings
* ECS/CSCS card
* 18th Edition (BS7671)
* SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
* Full UK driving licence
