This linesperson will report to the linesperson and will work within network operations based in our Stevenage office. You will be a employee in our UK Power Networks team.
You will attract a salary of £39,283 plus benefits and a bonus of 3%.

Job Purpose
You will manage the delivery of network enhancement projects and restoration of electrical supplies on the UK Power Networks distribution system, carrying out repairs on the overhead lines
Duties
10. Carry out all work in connection with the construction, maintenance and report ofOverhead lines and any associate plant and equipment, connections, and earthing, including cable laying and necessary excavation, backfill and reinstatementOverhead line service lines, pilots and catenaries, service termination equipment and connections thereto
11. Patrol overhead lines and reports defects and any work being performed in the vicinity of the line route.
12. Carries out work on live 240/415v apparatus conductors or equipment, following the appropriate safety rules.
13. Carry out live line work on overhead lines up to and including 33kv.
14. Installs and connects, or disconnects and removes, or re-sites whole current metering.
15. Remove and replace links and fuse on the 240/415v network.
16. Use meters and instruments and records readings. Assist in resistance, thermal and height measurements on overhead lines.
17. Carry out rigging, erect and inspect pre-formed scaffolds and pole and clip scaffolds.
18. Carries out tree felling and tree trimming.
19. Drive vehicles, cleans them and carries out roadworthiness checks.
20. Operate communications/data transmission and display equipment.
21. Operate mechanical aids and use portable equipment.
22. Switches, isolates and earths when authorised to do so.
23. Required to undertake standby on a contractual basis
24. Undertake Standby Duties.
Nature and Scope
You will work with the team to achieve the targets set out in the Performance Dashboard. You will work under their own initiative and demonstrate the ability to manage risk assessments to create a safe working environment.

31. To be prepared to train and learn new skills to be able to carry out the full range of duties.
32. To have experience in the field of overhead line construction and maintenance.
