Horticulture Laboratory Assistant
Our Norwich based client (part of a cluster of internationally renowned research organisations) is currently recruiting for a Horticulture Laboratory Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a temporary basis for approximately 8 weeks, located in Norwich.
Main Activities & Responsibilities
* Growth media preparation and delivery
* Restocking sundry items
* Plant waste handling
* As agreed with Line Manager, any other duties commensurate with the nature of the role
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent
* Experience of working with machinery/equipment
* Experience of working with plants
* Experience of working in a research environment
* Experience of working in a customer facing environment
* Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
* Ability to follow instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
* Good communication skills both written and oral
* Promotes equality and values diversity

* Full UK driving licence, or ability to travel across sites as required
* Willingness to work outside standard working hours when required
