We are seeking 3 enthusiastic and well-motivated individuals to join the Microbiology laboratory at Path Links, Scunthorpe General Hospital.
Role Overview
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA), your duties will include receiving and labeling a range of samples. You will assist Biomedical Scientists to provide a high-quality service while adhering to the Trust values of compassion, honesty, respect, and teamwork.
Candidate Requirements
* Good standard of general education
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Organizational skills, attention to detail
* Good knowledge of computers
* Ability to learn new tasks
* Experience is desirable but not necessary; full training will be provided
About the Laboratory
The laboratory delivers a range of investigations, is UKAS accredited to ISO 15189:2012, and is an IBMS approved training laboratory.
Interview and Training
Applicants must be available for a face-to-face interview, which will include a practical assessment. Following training, the post holder will participate in a 24/7 shift rota, including weekends, bank holidays, and evenings.
