Learning Support Assistant - Thurrock
Full-time/Temporary
£110 - £125 per day
Responsibilities
* Support pupils, to ensure they are engaged in learning activities
* Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom
* Act as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and promoting positive pupil behaviour
* Create a safe and inclusive learning environment
* Provide feedback to the classroom teacher on the pupil\'s progress against lesson plans, the conduct of the lesson and keeping pupil-related records
* Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school\'s policies and procedures about health & safety, welfare and safeguarding
* Provide additional support to the teachers in the classrooms
* Establish positive relationships with the pupils in lessons being covered
What We\'re Looking For
* A passion for supporting students with additional needs
* Prior experience supporting SEND pupils would be preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and adaptability
* A commitment to inclusion and the values of the school
