Payroll & Pensions Assistant
We have an exciting opportunity within our Payroll & Pensions team in Financial Services for a 12 month fixed term Payroll & Pensions Assistant, based at Headquarters in Sheffield.
Location: Central Sheffield Headquarters, S1
Hours: Full Time – 37 hours per week (Flexi Time)
Contract: Fixed-term for 12 months
Salary: £26,403 – £28,142 per annum (Grade 4). To increase subject to national pay award negotiations for 2026.

Responsibilities
* Support the Payroll & Pensions function by ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
* Process end-to-end payroll data and resolve pay and pension related queries.
* Update and maintain employee records.
* Assist the Payroll & Pensions Officer with the development and functionality of the Payroll system in accordance with current legislation and organisational policies.
* Contribute to the efficient delivery of payroll and pensions services.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working in a Payroll and Pensions environment.
* Knowledge and understanding of payroll legislation.
* Excellent communication skills to deliver a quality support service.
* Good multitasking ability and confidence with using ICT systems.
* Foundation Level CIPP Qualification and GCSEs, including Maths and English (A to C or equivalent).
