Role Overview
This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, and the skill, energy and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager. We are looking for a manager with experience of maintaining and developing the standards and reputation, whilst nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Hourly Rate: £12.81
Responsibilities
* Operational running of the gym at all times, opening and closing site as required.
* Expectation to work early in the morning, late weekdays, and weekends.
* Ensure policies and procedures in Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
* Adhere to and maintain JD Gyms Brand Standard.
* Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks, report and chase defects to ensure building and equipment is safe.
* Work towards and achieve all sales and membership targets that are set.
* Drive and maximise secondary spend revenue.
* Ensure the gym facility is of highest cleanliness standard, maintain outside of contract cleaning hours.
* Ensure in-house cleaners (General Assistant) uphold highest standards.
* Ensure uniform standards are adhered to by all team members and yourself.
* Create a positive environment for team and contracted personnel.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties/projects/meetings that may be required.
* Always represent JD Gyms as an ambassador.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in a management position within leisure or related industry.
* Passionate about customer service and inspirational leadership.
* Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
* Experience in driving sales and coordinating local marketing activity, managing a successful team.
* Experience as Assistant Manager or substantial experience as Fitness Manager or similar operational role.
