Inventory Manager

I'm currently working with a well-established and respected player in the global fresh produce industry to recruit an experienced Inventory Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organisation with a strong international presence and a reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence.

My client is looking for a driven, detail-oriented leader who can take ownership of inventory operations across multiple departments and locations, ensuring best-in-class accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth, accurate, and cost-effective management of inventory. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including supply chain, production, and ripening to ensure everything runs like clockwork. Key areas of responsibility include:


1. Driving full compliance with inventory control procedures and ensuring accuracy across systems

2. Leading stock audits and floor walks to identify and resolve discrepancies

3. Monitoring shelf life and stock ageing, minimising waste and financial risk

4. Overseeing the management of customer returns, GR2, and dump inventory

5. Supporting and training teams to follow correct processes and promote a culture of accountability

6. Collaborating across departments to lead monthly reconciliations and implement improvements

7. Maintaining and updating inventory-related SOPs and contributing to wider innovation projects

8. Taking a proactive role in safety leadership and promoting a culture of health and safety

What they are looking for

To be successful in this role, you'll need to bring both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership. This is a high-impact position, so confidence, collaboration, and initiative are key. The ideal candidate will have:

9. At least 5 years' experience in the produce industry (or similar environment)

10. Proven leadership skills with a track record of driving improvements

11. Strong communication skills and fluency in English

12. Excel skills and general proficiency in Microsoft Office

13. A self-motivated, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently

14. Analytically capability to spot trends and solve problems

15. Excellent organisation, time management, and negotiation abilities
