We're BDO, an accountancy and business advisory firm providing the advice and solutions businesses need to navigate today's changing world.
Our clients are Britain's economic engine—ambitious, entrepreneurially-spirited, high-growth businesses that fuel the economy, along with their owners and management teams.
We'll broaden your horizons
BDO's Business Tax practice is at the core of our Tax function, playing an important role across the wider business. Our team collaborates with others within BDO, offering clients in the UK and overseas expert advice and solutions to overcome challenges. If you're seeking exposure and the opportunity to make an impact, you're in the right place.
Tax is a dynamic, ever-changing industry. As our clients' needs and the regulatory environment evolve, you'll face new problems to solve and opportunities for growth. You'll advise clients on high-profile M&A activities, ensure their tax compliance, and enjoy variety and challenge in your role.
We support diverse businesses across various sectors in the UK and globally. Your role will involve providing Tax Compliance & Advisory services to scale-ups, private businesses, and PE-backed groups. Each client has unique needs, and applying your expertise across different contexts will help you develop your skills and gain valuable experience for your career.
We'll help you succeed
Our clients trust us for the quality of our advice, which stems from a thorough understanding of their businesses built through close collaboration and long-term relationships.
You should be proactive, able to manage your own tasks, and confident in collaborating and communicating regularly with peers, Directors, and Partners to serve our clients effectively. You'll be encouraged to identify and develop new business opportunities, contributing to our team's growth and enhancing client delivery. We are looking for someone with:
* An in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of taxation, with experience advising entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, and PE-backed groups.
* Experience advising on M&A transactions, including tax structuring, due diligence, and buy/sell-side activities.
* Experience managing a client portfolio, including onboarding, engagement management, billing, and identifying opportunities to improve recoveries and cash collection.
* Ability to provide Corporation Tax Compliance and Advisory services to a range of clients, utilizing shared service teams or technology tools.
* An active interest in developing the team technically and commercially through effective delegation and role modeling.
* An understanding of potential risks related to the firm's quality control procedures.
* Experience leading complex projects and handling complex tax issues.
* Education to degree level and/or CTA, ACA, or equivalent qualification.
We value authenticity; you'll be supported to be yourself, and your contributions will be recognized and rewarded. We promote agile working, offering flexible ways to work that suit individuals and teams.
