And that’s where you come in because, right now, we’re looking for a Depot Planner to join our Operational Execution, Supply Chain & Logistics team at our distribution centre.
Keeping our shelves full for our customers depends on us having a terrifically tight team, whether on the shop floor or at our distribution centre, where this particular role is based. Your challenge? To take responsibility for the effective delivery of all day‑to‑day depot warehouse planning activity, including absences, holidays and shift planning. Indeed, we’ll look to you to produce, process, assemble and distribute the vital paperwork that will aid the smooth running of the depot’s operations. But that’s not all. We’ll also rely on you to review depot plans and highlight any risks, manage site agency supplier relationships, maintain training records, manage shift patterns and rotas and play your part in longer term/event planning. In short, you won’t be short of interest and variety.
Responsibilities
* Manage day‑to‑day depot warehouse planning, including absences, holidays and shift planning.
* Produce, process, assemble and distribute vital paperwork for depot operations.
* Review depot plans, highlight risks and recommend solutions.
* Manage relationships with site agency suppliers.
* Maintain training records and manage shift patterns and rotas.
* Contribute to long‑term and event planning.
Qualifications
* Understanding of GDPR regulations and ability to apply judgement and discretion when handling sensitive information.
* Awareness of local health and safety regulations and relevant legislation such as the Working Time Directive.
* Experience in a highly unionised environment is an advantage.
* Strong stakeholder relationship building and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent accuracy, attention to detail and data‑analysis, presentation and sharing abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas.
