Overview
West London NHS Trust is one of the largest providers of mental health care in the country, and a leading national provider of secure and specialist mental healthcare. We provide community-based forensic care to eight North West London boroughs and have recently been rated Outstanding by the CQC for our Forensic Services. We are chosen by NHS England to pioneer a new approach to support forensic service users in the community, working with individuals and providers to transition users out of secure settings and support their ongoing recovery in the community.
The Role
Forensic Social Worker / Social Supervisor – committed to working collaboratively with individuals and providers in the community to find positive and safe ways of working with people who use these services. This is a rare chance to shape a new service, develop your skills and your career.
Key Responsibilities
* Work as part of the ground-breaking team that will improve the lives of forensic mental health service users and their carers.
* Support service users’ transition from secure settings and contribute to their recovery in the community.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, local authorities and community agencies to provide holistic care.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Qualification in social work and registration with Social Work England.
* Experience in forensic or mental health social work preferred.
* Strong communication, case‑management and multidisciplinary working skills.
