Overview
We are seeking a skilled Site Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, demonstrating proficiency in both traditional and modern roofing techniques. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Roofer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on various types of buildings.
Duties
* Install new roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, tiles, and metal.
* Repair existing roofs by identifying leaks and damage, and applying appropriate solutions.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete roofing tasks.
* Perform heavy lifting as required when handling roofing materials and equipment.
* Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure proper installation of roofing structures.
* Fabricate components as needed for custom roofing projects.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
* Conduct regular inspections of roofs to assess their condition and recommend necessary repairs.
Qualifications
* Must be available to work away from home on sites across the UK
* Proven experience as a Roofer or in a related construction role.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment.
* Ability to weld when required for specific roofing projects.
* Strong skills in building, plumb, and fabricating roofing structures.
* Physical fitness with the capability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* A valid driver's licence is preferred but not essential.
