Fire & Security Engineer\nLocation: Chepstow\nSalary: £38,481.37 per annum\nEmployment Type: Full-time, Permanent\n\nThe Role\n\nWe are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management provider for a Fire & Security Engineer to support a major retail client. This role involves acting as the technical specialist for designated stores, delivering first-call response and maintenance for systems including Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA, and Automatic Pedestrian Gates.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out maintenance and repairs in line with customer KPIs, including response, repair, first fix, and closure.\nComplete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant.\nRespond promptly to service calls during normal hours and when on call.\nDiagnose faults and recommend corrective actions.\nOrder and install parts efficiently, following company procedures.\nMaintain compliance with BS5839 for fire alarm systems.\nLiaise with store Duty Managers to report on maintenance issues.\nEnsure tools and equipment are available and in working order.\nComplete surveys and reports as required.\nAdhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times.\nRepresent the company professionally and maintain strong working relationships with client staff.\n\nRequirements\n\nGCSE standard education.\nElectrical Competency Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds).\nExperience with CCTV (IP/analogue), fire alarm systems, and EAS (Sensormatic).\nPC literate with strong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and at heights.\nIPAF licence and full UK driving licence.\nColour vision suitable for electrical/electronic work.\nFlexible approach to working hours and on-call duties.\nCustomer-focused, self-motivated, and reliable.\n\nAbout the Company\n\nOur client is a global leader in facilities management, founded in 1985 on the principles of collaboration and transparency.
