Job Summary
Bradford College are recruiting for a number Learning Assistants to join our Disability Services provision.
Our Learning Assistants are an important part of our High Needs and Learning Department, providing non-teaching support to students with disabilities, learning difficulties, medical needs and mental health issues to help them succeed in their course. This includes support in the classroom but also on visits and residentials.
The Learning Assistant role offers a fantastic entry into a career in Education.
We have a number of contracts ranging from 18.5 hours per week to 30 hours per week, please indicate a preference at interview. All contracts are term-time, working 38 weeks per year.

Main Responsibilities
• Providing non-teaching support for students with special educational needs.
• Following professional guidance provided through EHC Plans and Learning Support Agreements.
• Providing verbal and written feedback on learner progress and accessibility issues to teaching staff.
• Assisting in the preparation of teaching aids and materials.
Essential Skills
Experience of supporting people with disabilities and/or learning difficulties (this can include voluntary work and/or student placements)
Experience of working in an education setting is desirable but not essential
