Role Description
We are looking for a PBS Practitioner to work at a newly opening home in Tonteg called Daffodil House.
At Priory Adult Care, we offer 24/7 specialist care in community settings. Our aim is to deliver support that enables individuals to develop and improve their quality of life outcomes.
You’ll have the opportunity to bring your compassion and empathy to work in an environment where you can positively impact the lives of those we support.
The PBS practitioner will work closely with the individuals, colleagues, and stakeholders to develop and deliver Positive Behaviour Support plans.
The post holder will be responsible for:
1. Development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans including Functional Behaviour Assessment
2. Practice Leadership and workshops
3. Incident support, analysis, and colleague debrief
4. Staff training & development
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold a qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (e.g., BSc, MSc, MA, or equivalent)
* Be qualified or willing to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor certification
Additional qualities include:
* Person-centred beliefs and attitudes
* Leadership skills and ability to influence positively
* Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behaviour Analysis principles
* Experience in behavioural assessment and intervention development
* Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and Autism
* Experience in reducing restrictive practices
* Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support training
* Strong record-keeping and report-writing skills
* Knowledge of legal frameworks such as the Mental Capacity Act (2005), DOLS, Safeguarding, and risk management
