To help us on our journey of being the market leader in the design and manufacture of roofing products and associated systems, we currently have an amazing opportunity available for a Wind Tunnel Test Technician ideally with a successful track record in the building products sector, to join our fantastic team in Burton.

What's the mission?
Reporting to the Head of Operational Support, your main responsibilities will be:
Wind Tunnel Testing
* You will operate and maintain the wind tunnel facility, and all testing equipment ensuring safe and reliable performance
* Prior to any testing you will build and configure roof rigs and test setups in line with British and CEN standards
* You will conduct annual equipment calibration, maintain accurate records, and ensure test traceability
* Key to this role is your ability to analyse and report on test results, providing clear recommendations to support future product development
* Testing is about consistency in results so you will own the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) process to ensure consistency and compliance
Tile Type, Roof Fitting & Clip Testing
* You will undertake a range of type, strength and pull tests on clay & concrete tiles, associated ranges of clips, fixings and accessories, again to ensure they meet industry standards on safety and quality.
What are the mission critical skills?
* A background or prior experience in a science, engineering, or quality assurance role
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and develop
* Proven ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
* Organised and methodical, with strong time management skills
* Team player with a proactive and supportive attitude
* Full UK driving licence (essential) due to occasional travel requirements
* AUTOCAD knowledge (advantageous)
* First Aid and Forklift Truck Licence (advantageous)
* Comfortable performing hands-on, physical activities as part of testing setup and rig building
