About the Role As a Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, fostering analytical thinking and practical skills in your students. You will play a vital role in encouraging scientific exploration, supporting progress, and promoting a love for learning within a dynamic classroom environment. Teacher of Science Responsibilities Deliver high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Teach across Key Stages, ensuring lessons are engaging, challenging, and accessible for all learners. Prepare and assess coursework, assignments, and examinations effectively. Encourage students to apply scientific principles through experiments and investigations. Maintain an organised classroom and foster a safe and stimulating learning environment. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and share best teaching practices. Skills & Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential. Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field. Proven experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable). Strong understanding of the national Science curriculum and assessment frameworks. Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills. A passion for inspiring curiosity and promoting achievement among students. A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
