Join our Power Transmission and Distribution team as a Project Manager with experience of Civils work on our Operational Team and you’ll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.
This role is Office & Site-based/in Aberdeenshire. You will be:
1. Planning, managing, and delivering Projects safely and sustainably to programme, cost, and quality.
2. Having overall accountability for successful project delivery including planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning, and handover/close out.
3. Providing management and leadership to create an environment where a multi-disciplinary project team can thrive and succeed to achieve a common goal.
4. Ensuring effective management of client and stakeholders.

What you'll be doing
1. Hold periodic project reviews and update the Digital Briefcase.
2. Ensure reports provide relevant information to enable decisions to be made, are informed, cost-effective, and align with overall business strategy.
3. Prepare and present internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders.
4. Ability to interrogate designs and challenge inputs and deliverables.
5. Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm & keep up to date with changes in legislation.
6. Carry out Safety & Environmental Tours, promote observation and safety initiatives.
7. Lead Accident/Incident Investigations and monitor effectiveness of the H&S Management System, implementing improvement actions.
8. Review RAMS and accept subcontractor RAMS.
9. Develop H&S plan as a live document, ensuring workforce competence.
10. Coordinate and manage all project activities and internal functions, identifying and controlling resources.
11. Develop, implement, and update resource allocation plans and raise appropriate requests.
12. Develop high-performing teams, promote talent pipelines, and support internal training through mentoring and performance management.
13. Lead risk/opportunity reviews, own the Risk Register, and recommend/implement changes. Log and escalate unresolved issues.
14. Manage subcontractors, monitor attendance and progress, and provide support to ensure contractual achievements.
15. Ensure assurance activities (audits) are undertaken, act on findings, and lead improvement groups.
16. Monitor progress, implement Short Interval Control processes, hold weekly meetings, and ensure milestones reflect the master schedule and customer expectations.
Who we're looking for
1. Formal qualification in project management or equivalent experience.
2. CSCS and SMSTS or equivalent.
3. In-depth understanding and practical experience of standard forms of contracts.
4. Proficient in commercial/project management communications.
5. Experience in implementing safe systems of work.
6. Full UK Driving Licence.
