A public sector organisation that helps deliver funding schemes based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team. This is a 6-week temporary assignment.
Your new role
As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end payments process. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
1. Processing purchase orders and supplier invoices
2. Handling staff cash expenses and company credit card transactions
3. Managing loan and grant payments
4. Monitoring the central accounts mailbox and resolving supplier queries
5. Uploading payments via NatWest and Autopay systems
6. Supporting ad hoc finance tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
You will have:
* A minimum of 1 year's experience in a finance or accounting role
* Familiarity with bank cash management systems
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and accounting software such as NetSuite
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
