Position: Business Development Manager
Company: Bedrock Business Systems
Location: Woking, Surrey – Full-time, In-person [some WFH opportunity]
Salary: £30K + 1.5% Commission, 1st Year OTE £55K
Why this is a unique and exciting opportunity:
Bedrock Business Systems is a new B2B venture for us, currently being meticulously planned as we speak. Trading will commence in January 2026. As the Owner parent company Bedrock Computers [bedrock-], I have developed Bedrock into a business currently turning over £5m annually in just 4 years. We're a young team [all under 25] full of passion, drive and a real hunger for success.
With the financial backing and resources from an established and profitable business, Bedrock Business Systems will grow rapidly, with an expected turnover of £5m in Year 1 and £7.5m in Year 2. You won't be a small cog in some large corporate entity – you'll be a part of our process. More importantly, you'll have the real opportunity of unparallelled career progression and growth – you will grow with the company as the team expands. The OTE is just a guideline with no bounds.
About the job & what you'll be doing:
You have one clear goal – find new clients, build relationships and close deals. This means fostering and nurturing potential clients, converting them into leads. Once you've closed a client, you'll manage their account, making sure they're looked after to focus on lifetime value for repeat business. Organization is key.
This doesn't mean there isn't a greater complexity or diversity to the role. You'll have a say and involvement in anything or everything, from the design of our website to the marketing strategy to the way orders are fulfilled. Constant improvement is crucial to growth, and as a team, we will strategize ways to improve, identifying weaknesses and coming up with new ideas.
Constantly increasing your knowledge and understanding of our products and services will be high on your priority list, especially in the early months. Primarily this accounts for solution-based research to offer our client the best product, i.e. what PC specification does the client need given their requirements and budget, and how would we build and procure these? We know a thing or two or three about this so don't worry, we'll help. Sometimes researching industry trends and competitors is required.
What we're looking for:
It's simple – we want passion, energy, confidence, charisma and a hunger for success. You must be comfortable conversing and communicating professionally – it's crucial for interacting with clients. Demonstrate this when you phone me.
With this in mind, we don't need perfection or lots of experience – we're here to help nurture your progression, guiding you along the way. With a good attitude and self-reflection, you're bound to succeed and improve further.
To be completely honest, we won't consider candidates who haven't gone through this job listing thoroughly or haven't researched our parent company bedrock- in detail. We only want serious applicants with attention to detail and a vision that this is your calling.
We don't require a tech background, but enthusiasm for tech and computers goes a very long way. We'll show you the ropes so you can learn all about products and services. Learning never stops, and the more knowledgeable you become, the more our clients will have faith in your ability to provide them with a compelling offer.
A driver's license and vehicle are required, as on occasion you will be travelling anywhere in the UK to meet with clients. Don't worry, travel and car expenses will be covered on top of salary.
You'll love working with me and the team:
Whilst hard work and performance is at the forefront of our ethos, on the bottom line we're a group of lads that love a good laugh. Our culture is not corporate or synthetic and we're flexible. We have a professional side, but you can be your own person, expressing your own individuality. Respect amongst each other is highly important, but this doesn't mean we're not impartial to a bit of banter or jibing
We believe getting on as a team on a personal level is crucial, however this doesn't mean we're cliquey. It does mean making sure you're up for going out to London for a few drinks (or more) every now and then. We don't just drink – any activity is on the table, and we collectively decide what we do for fun. Work hard, play hard.
