Jigsaw Fitness designs and manufactures innovative fitness equipment from our Lancashire HQ. Our customers include some of the UK’s leading gym equipment brands and health club chains.
Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing we’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing / Production Manager to lead our welding and fabrication operation. You’ll manage a skilled team, drive performance, and deliver on‑time, high‑quality output in a safe and efficient environment.
This is a hands‑on leadership role — focused on people, process, and performance. You’ll ensure our 8‑week production plans are met, standards upheld, and improvements continuously made through our KPI structure.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily production to achieve plan targets — ensuring labour, materials, tooling, and maintenance readiness.
* Maintain strong OTIF delivery, quality control and safety performance.
* Work cross‑functionally with Design, Procurement, and external suppliers to remove constraints and protect delivery.
* Control stock movements to/from paint suppliers.
* Drive continuous improvement using Lean, 5S, and visual management.
* Coach, develop, and performance‑manage your team.
* Ensure full compliance with HSE and quality standards.
Skills & Requirements
* Proven experience managing production/manufacturing team.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methods.
* Skilled in scheduling, capacity planning, and performance delivery.
* Positive approach to a fast‑paced work environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
* Background in steelwork welding/fabrication (desirable).

Job Types: Full‑time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00 per year DOE
Work Location: Banks, Southport. In person Mon‑Fri (this position is not a remote role)
