We are pleased to be working with a modern and innovative Scottish law firm that is recruiting a Risk & Compliance Solicitor to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor with a strong regulatory background to play a key role in supporting the firm’s strategic, regulatory, and operational obligations.
The role will involve working across a broad range of professional practice and compliance matters, including:
1. Supporting the firm and its lawyers in meeting their professional and regulatory duties under LSS and SRA standards
2. Translating regulatory requirements into practical, usable guidance, controls, and tools for day‑to‑day application
3. Providing advice on conflicts, confidentiality, undertakings, supervision expectations, complaints, and professional conduct
4. Contributing to the development of the firm’s commercial risk & compliance service as part of an integrated “all‑risk” legal offering
The firm is seeking a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE, with demonstrable experience in regulatory compliance or professional practice within a law firm or regulated professional services environment. Candidates should have strong working knowledge of professional conduct rules, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver practical solutions in a clear and accessible way. Experience working with operational teams such as Finance, HR, or Operations would be advantageous.
You will be joining a proactive and collaborative team focused on enabling high‑quality service delivery through effective regulation, robust controls, and clear guidance. The role offers opportunities to contribute to training, process design, client‑facing risk work, and the development of scalable compliance services. The firm promotes a supportive culture with hybrid working, flexible arrangements, and strong opportunities for career development.
The firm offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. If this role sounds of interest, please contact Cameron or Teddie for a confidential discussion. (Assignment 18243)
