Store Person — Location: Whipsnade Zoo
Salary: From £12.71 per hour
Contract: Fixed-term, 6-month contract
Hours: Fixed 24 hours per week, with overtime available. Must be able to work Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday (with flexibility during peak periods)
We’re looking for a Store Person to join our team at Whipsnade Zoo, supporting the day-to-day movement and distribution of stock across our catering and retail outlets. This is a hands-on role focused on moving stock around the site, ensuring all areas are supplied efficiently and safely. The role is centred on the safe handling, transport, and organisation of stock across a large visitor attraction. You’ll work closely with the catering and retail teams, following clear processes and schedules to ensure stock is delivered accurately and on time. Full on-site training and support are provided, giving you the chance to build your skills while contributing to the smooth running of operations across the site. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, physical work, has good attention to detail, and is comfortable working to instructions within a structured operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Move stock, supplies, and goods safely around the site using a van and/or equipment
* Support deliveries and internal distribution across multiple outlets
* Assist with stock control, rotation, and waste reduction
* Maintain accurate organisation of stock and storage areas
* Ensure safe handling and transport of goods at all times
* Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with food safety and health & safety requirements
Who We’re Looking For
* Must be over 25 (insurance requirement for driving a van)
* Full UK driving licence required
* Some experience in stores, logistics, warehousing, catering, or similar environment (desirable)
* Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
* Confidence following instructions and working to set processes
* A reliable team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties
