Montel News is looking to hire LNG market reporters in the US on a freelance basis.
You will need excellent English language skills and ideally some knowledge of the global LNG market.
Montel News is Europe’s leading energy newswire publishing real‑time and market‑moving news in multiple languages.
Successful candidates will be able to multi‑task and work with news editors and reporters to produce timely and exclusive copy, including original stories and diary copy. Responsibilities also include fact‑checking and proofreading.
Main skills required
* Reporting experience and excellent language skills.
* Familiarity with energy markets and/or financial journalism is beneficial but not essential.
* Some data journalism experience or an affinity with numbers is a bonus.
Key responsibilities
* Covering the US LNG industry.
* Developing contacts and establishing relationships with companies in the sector and the government.
* Keeping up to date with relevant policy developments at the national level.
* Synthesising complex information quickly.
Terms
The terms of employment will depend on the candidate’s experience and location.
