Animal Care Tutor Barham, Kent | Full-time (Term Time)

Inspire young people through hands-on animal care.

Do you have a passion for animals, education, and making a difference? We’re looking for an Animal Care Tutor to deliver engaging, practical learning on a working educational farm.

The Role

This is a varied, hands-on position combining teaching, animal care, and student support. You’ll deliver land-based learning sessions, support daily farm tasks, and help young people build confidence, independence, and employability skills.

Working closely with the Farm Manager and education team, you’ll create a safe, supportive environment where learners can thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver practical animal care sessions and farm-based learning
• Support daily care of farm animals and site activities
• Teach employability, life skills, and basic maths/English
• Engage and motivate learners, including those with additional needs
• Promote safe working practices and positive behaviour
• Support learner progress into education, work, or training

What We’re Looking For

Experience in animal care, farming, or land-based work Teaching or training experience (or willingness to gain) Passion for supporting young people Creative, engaging approach to learning Strong communication and organisation skills Full UK driving licence
