Payroll Senior
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a varied client portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate calculations of pay, deductions, statutory payments, and pensions.
Handle statutory reporting requirements, including year‑end processes.
Serve as POC for assigned clients, managing expectations, resolving complex issues, and delivering a high standard of service.
Maintain strong internal quality controls, identify risks, and ensure full compliance with payroll legislation and data protection requirements.
Conduct internal audits and drive continuous improvements in processes, systems, and automation.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and review support for junior team members, assisting with on boarding and promoting a collaborative team culture.
Manage personal and team workloads to support accurate billing and overall profitability.
Stay updated with payroll legislation and industry best practices
Profile
A successful Payroll Senior should have:
Proven experience within a payroll function (ideally accountancy)
Skilled within managing complex payroll cases and supporting junior members of the team
Proficient with numerous payroll systems as well as advanced Excel skills
Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation's and keeping up to date
Good, clear communication, attention to detail and proactive

Salary (DoE): Ranging from £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Will consider full and part time requirements
23 days holiday + Bank Holiday
