About The Role
The main role of the cleaning assistant is to maintain the cleanliness of designated areas, such as Factories, Mill Store, Glenbervie Centre, and Office buildings, ensuring they are kept in a clean and tidy condition, upholding the highest standards of hygiene across the company’s facilities.
This role is part time - approximately 24 hours. Hours to be discussed with the successful candidate.
Please note, this role is a fixed-term contract for 1 year.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and report when stocks of cleaning materials, toiletries, or equipment require replenishment or maintenance.
* Perform general cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting, polishing, cleaning toilets and washrooms, washing surfaces, mopping, and maintaining floors.
* Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with documented procedures, work instructions, and cleaning schedules.
* Follow any reasonable instructions related to cleaning duties as issued by the HRA and/or HR Coordinator.
* Work safely and responsibly at all times, adhering to the company’s Health & Safety policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
Experience And Qualifications
* Previous experience in general cleaning activities is desirable.
Skills
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
* Strong team player with the ability to integrate well into a team environment.
* Flexible and adaptable attitude towards work.
* Organised and methodical approach to tasks.
Knowledge
* Basic understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
* Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
Full driving license and access to a vehicle are required, given the site’s location.
