Overview
Our client, a growing Electrical High Voltage contractor in the power utilities sector, is currently seeking a motivated Electrical Estimator (Graduate Engineer) to join their team in Castleford. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to start their career in the power distribution industry, supporting projects ranging from renewable energy solutions to overhead line projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting with the pricing and tendering for new queries and projects
* Working alongside the operations manager to ensure accurate cost assessments
* Participating in project estimations from LV to 11kV, with potential to progress to 132kV levels
* Preparing comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for potential clients
Job Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electronic & Electrical Engineering, or Power Systems Engineering)
* Understanding of high voltage systems and electrical engineering principles
* Interest in developing a career in estimating or design within the power utilities sector
* Full right to work in the UK
Desirable Requirements
* Some exposure to administrative roles or estimating
* LV to 11kV experience
* Full clean driving licence (ideal but not essential)
