We're recruiting a Student Success Mentor for a specialist SEN school in Ellesmere Port from January. This role goes beyond academic support. 2. Supporting social skills, communication, emotional regulation and daily routines
3. Helping pupils develop independence through simple life skills tasks and structured activities
4. Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and resilience throughout the school day
5. Guiding pupils during lessons, transitions, break times and enrichment sessions
6. Building strong, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe and understood
7. Working with teachers and the SEN team to adapt activities and support EHCP goals
What we're looking for:
8. Experience supporting children or young people in schools, SEN, care, youth work or similar
9. Someone who is warm, patient and able to act as a steady, positive role model
10. Confidence supporting pupils with ASD, communication needs or SEMH
11. Strong communication and the ability to motivate children who need consistent encouragement
12. A genuine passion for helping pupils grow in confidence and independence
Why this role:
13. Join a welcoming, well-supported SEN setting
14. Long-term stability from January
15. A meaningful role where success is measured by confidence, social progress and independence as much as academics
16. Ongoing support from the Tradewind team
