Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related construction skills, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and tools. This role involves working on diverse projects, including new constructions, renovations, and restorations, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet industry standards.
Duties
* Apply plaster to walls and ceilings using various techniques to achieve desired finishes.
* Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and applying necessary base materials.
* Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
* Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
* Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for plastering tasks.
* Perform concrete forming, finishing, and rebar installation as needed for structural integrity.
* Engage in masonry work including stucco application and tile laying.
* Conduct renovation tasks that may involve carpentry, trim carpentry, or metal stud framing.
* Operate heavy equipment when required for specific project needs.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
* Proven experience in plastering with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
* Familiarity with construction estimating processes.
* Experience in hardscape installation and restoration projects.
* Proficiency in caulking techniques for sealing joints.
* Background in roofing tasks is advantageous.
* Ability to work effectively on construction sites with a focus on teamwork and communication.
