Provide support service to inpatient and outpatient patients based on needs, and research evidence.
Participate in the multi-disciplinary team, bring youth and community perspective.
Take on individual referral for teenagers and young adults experiencing difficulty in managing hospital admissions/procedures. Using evidence – based practice to asses, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
Main duties of the job
Co-design, lead and deliver recreational programmes designs to reduce psychological impact of renal treatments and to promote adjustments, post treatments
Provide and lead on a wide range of cognitive, recreational and social activities. To enable social and emotional development throughout the renal disease trajectory.
Mentor discreet goal, under guidance of the psychological team.

1. Relevant Degree level qualification e.g. Psychology, Youth Studies or Social Science’
Experience

3. Must have a wide-ranging understanding if issues affecting young people and barriers that affect young people’s development.

4. It would be beneficial if work with young people has been within a number of capacities / environments.
