Dental Reception/Admin role requirements:
We are a mixed NHS/Private Practice based in High Barnet, North London. Our friendly and enthusiastic team are looking to recruit a dental receptionist. The successful candidate must be experienced, confident and diligent, and will take pride in offering a warm and personalised experience to patients and colleagues alike.
As a Dental Receptionist, you're an ambassador for our clinic Denchic Dental Spa - in all of your interactions, whether it's meeting and greeting patients as they arrive at the clinic, or answering the phone to respond to enquiries or via email.
Delivering first-class service to everybody is second nature to you, you are friendly, passionate and positive. You deliver a memorable experience to all our patients.
You have great attention to detail and you demonstrate this when you're registering new patients, or inputting their data on our systems – everything is done accurately.
It's essential that you've got outstanding customer service skills and you've worked in a reception/front of house role with high value customers. Your communication skills are exemplary, you're polite, courteous and helpful to patients at all times.
We are a group of three dental practices across North London and the candidate will have the opportunity to be part of a wider team to help deliver excellent patient care.

Employment Term: Permanent, Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays pm,

Qualifications & Skills:
Proficient in using Software of Excellence
Excel and Word proficient
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Have a great command of English (Written and Spoken)
Leadership and management skills
Able to work under pressure, use initiative and multi-task across practice and team management, front desk duties
Previous dental admin experience is essential. Nursing experience desirable but not essential
Experience with marketing would be desirable eg managing Facebook/Google/Paid Ads and nurturing leads
Job responsibilities - Reception and Communication:
· Greet patients warmly and provide a friendly and professional first impression of the practice.
· Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
· Check in patients, verify their information and update their records as necessary.
· Provide accurate and clear information to patients regarding treatment plans, when needed.
· Maintain confidentiality and handle patient information with care and sensitivity.
Administrative Support:
· Manage the front desk area, ensuring a clean and organised reception area.
· Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling to optimise the practice's efficiency.
· Process patient registrations, and other administrative documents accurately.
· Assist with billing and financial transactions, including collecting payments and internal payment processes
· Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth communication and coordination of patient care.
Customer Service Excellence:
· Good telephone manner is essential
· Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
· Anticipate and respond to patient needs, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit.
· Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the practice, making patients feel valued and cared for.
Qualifications and Skills:
To excel in this role, we are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
· Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and welcoming demeanour.
· Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
· Proficiency in SOE is preferred
· Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and insurance processes is a plus.
· Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Positive attitude and willingness to contribute as a team player.
Practice growth
Front desk duties: booking appointments, taking payments, organising recalls, patient following up, handling complaints etc. managing clinician diaries
Prioritise outstanding patient care and service
· Actively collect patient feedback (eg Google reviews)
· Strong personable communication and conduct towards all patients
