Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Facilities Electrical Technician to join our team in Barnsley. You’ll deliver a multi-skilled service performing a wide range of tasks to legislative, company, site and exacting standards. You’ll be covering a wide scope of duties including facilities maintenance, electrical installation, repairs, test/inspections, and support the on-site Dematic team across a range of disciplines.
This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 out of 7 days, on rotating shifts 06:00 till 14:30, 08:00 till 16:30 and 10:30 till 19:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £33,779.20 per annum and 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Undergo electrical installation, testing, distribution, fault finding and repairs to 2391 Standards
* Management of electrical documentation and change control
* Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on plant and buildings are carried out efficiently and effectively
* Oversee Contractors working onsite, ensuring Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) are in place and to issue work permits
* Ensure all tasks carried out adhere to all relevant compliances with current legislation, Policies & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Previous experience within facilities or maintenance is essential
* Industrial or Commercial Electrical Installation experience is required
* Electrical/ Mechanical Qualification Level 3 (or equivalent)
* Level 2 Diploma in Engineering, City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring
* IOSH Managing Safely
