 
        We are seeking a capable and growth-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance our IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone who is ready to take ownership of systems and contribute to design and implementation, while continuing to develop their technical expertise. The postholder will work across networking, server administration, virtualization, and cloud platforms, helping to ensure performance, reliability, and security. What Will You Be Doing? Support and maintain infrastructure components including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems. Assist in the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions across on premises and cloud platforms Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure uptime and reliability. Participate in patching, backup, and disaster recovery processes. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to uphold cybersecurity standards. Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and changes. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members. What Are We Looking For? Network technology knowledge and experience, including wired and wireless, firewalls, switching, DNS, DHCP, and IP protocols Knowledge of cyber security systems and configurations Experience of managing backup systems and disaster recovery Experience of troubleshooting network issues in an office based environment. You will have a proactive approach and the ability to work on your own initiative with excellent planning and prioritisation skills. The ability to communicate at both technical and non-technical is key, with a desire to provide an excellent customer service. You will join a small, busy team providing support on all aspects of ICT to 500 employees across 23 sites. This includes systems that support the Service in fast and efficient emergency response. The role includes additional payment for standby duties outside normal working hours in accordance with the Service’s standby/on-call ICT policy. Payment for standby duties will not be paid until the post holder has gained and demonstrated sufficient competence to carry out the duties. If this sounds like you, then please get in touch!
