BAND 4
* Hours : 37 hours per week
* Shift pattern : Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm
The Health Physics Department is a regional service which provides advice on radiation safety and diagnostic radiology and provides highly specialised scientific and technical support services to healthcare establishments where radiation is used.
Applications are invited for an enthusiastic individual to provide administrative support to the Health Physics Department at Gartnavel Royal Infirmary. The post holder will undertake a number of administrative roles to assist Clinical Technologists and Clinical Scientists in providing the Radiation Protection and Diagnostic Radiology Physics service. Main tasks include taking minutes of meetings, sending radiation reports to service users, organising meetings and courses, administration and oversight of environmental monitoring and radioactive waste returns, PECOS orders, generating quotes and liaising with finance, maintaining departmental training records and other spreadsheets and general maintenance of diaries and calendars.
The candidate must have advanced keyboard skills, be IT literate and be competent in the use of MS Teams and other software packages. Knowledge of medical and physics terminology is an advantage. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have good time management, good organisational skills and be able to meet deadlines.
