St Nicholas Burton and St Michael Shotwick
We are seeking a part-time incumbent for this rural benefice of central church tradition near the cathedral city of Chester. The post is for Sunday duties plus 3½ days per week in return for a 50% stipend. There are strong links with the church school, and committed and supportive lay leadership. An excellent modern house is provided.
We need a leader who will:
* Build on opportunities in our relationship with our local communities and CofE primary school, thereby work to expand and grow our churches.
* Provide oversight and encouragement to Burton’s Children and Family worker, and work collaboratively with them and our Junior Church team.
* Nurture the spiritual growth of individuals and the congregations, helping us to deepen our relationship with Christ and grow in faith together.
* Find joy in enabling people to worship in both traditional and modern services and encourage our congregations to live out our Christian faith in everyday life.
* Provide leadership on Safeguarding with the support of the PSO.
* Support, lead and inspire our congregations.
