Recruit4staff are representing a well-established precision engineering business in their search for a CNC Machinist to work in Wigan.
Job Role:
Programming, setting and operating CNC Milling centres to manufacture bespoke, low-volume components. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and 3D CAD files to determine optimal manufacturing techniques. Using offline CAD-CAM software to create tool paths and machining instructions. Running CNC Millers with Hurco controls to achieve maximum efficiency in batch production.
Job Details:
1. Pay: £39,000 - £44,000 per annum
2. Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am – 12:00pm
3. Duration: Permanent
4. Overtime Rules: Plenty of overtime available, paid at x1.5
5. Benefits: Onsite parking, clean working environment, modern CNC machinery
Essential Skills & Experience:
6. Programming and operating milling machines with Hurco controls
7. Previous experience of machining first off samples
8. Offline programming experience
Desired Skills & Experience:
9. Experience working for a low volume batch manufacturer or precision engineer
10. Experience working with exotic materials
11. Hurco controls
Essential Qualifications:
12. Engineering City and Guilds or ONC qualifications
