Assistant Director of Digital and Transformation
Location
Hybrid - working from our Cardiff office with the option to work from home and other Cartrefi office locations. Travel to our other offices across Wales is also required.

Up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience

What You’ll Do
Guided by our values of Honesty, Trust, Kindness, Respect, and Wellbeing, you will:
* Lead the development and delivery of our digital transformation strategy and roadmap.
* Manage and develop the digital team, creating a high‑performing and innovative culture.
* Develop and deliver a structured lifecycle and governance framework for identifying, testing, evaluating, scaling or retiring new digital technologies.
* Identify opportunities for digital improvement and transformation across Cartrefi through a user‑centred and inclusive approach.
* Enhance the organisation's digital infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and fit for purpose.
* Work with colleagues at all levels to drive adoption of digital solutions and embed digital ways of working.
* Establish measures and reporting mechanisms to evaluate the impact and success of digital initiatives.
* As part of our senior leadership team, provide strategic advice and insight on digital trends, opportunities, and risks.

What We’re Looking For
* Significant experience developing digital and data capabilities across an organisation, ideally in a charity or public service context
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high‑performing teams
* A good understanding of data governance, reporting, analytics and cybersecurity
* Experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading organisational change.
* Direct delivery experience, comfortable rolling up sleeves and making practical improvements.
* Experience of delivering major, organisation‑wide projects using defined project management frameworks
Other Requirements
* Full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle – there will be a requirement to travel throughout Wales to other Cartrefi Cymru offices, therefore, the use of a car with appropriate business insurance will be required.
