Our client, partnering with a Strategic Delivery Partner on the Southern Water AMP8 Infrastructure Framework, is currently seeking a Civils Design Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role is vital for delivering major water infrastructure projects across the Southern Water region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the design delivery of critical infrastructure schemes from concept through to delivery
* Managing multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met
* Ensuring compliance with technical standards, budget, and programme requirements
* Overseeing the production of design documentation
* Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
* Providing technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
* Ensuring quality control and adherence to project specifications
Job Requirements:
* Experience in civil engineering, specifically within the water sector
* Strong knowledge of civil design principles and relevant software
* Proficiency in managing multidisciplinary teams
* Understanding of project management processes and technical standards
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work effectively in a hybrid/flexible working environment
* Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
* Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
