A core component of the role is extensive external liaison, acting as the single point of contact for accessing specialist support services such as the Social and Youth Services, the Education Welfare Service, and the Probation Service. You will develop and implement time-bound action plans with SMART targets to remove barriers to learning, establish and maintain supportive mentoring relationships, and undertake necessary student testing (e.g., Lucid). Candidates must demonstrate experience and knowledge of issues affecting students and young people, enabling them to offer supportive assistance. Key skills include the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences, excellent time management and organisation skills, and proficiency in using standard ICT packages.
